Baggage Policies for Travelers

Visa and Documentation Requirements

  • Ensure you have all necessary travel documents:
  • International Travel: Valid passport and appropriate visas are mandatory.
  • Domestic Travel: Carry valid identification.
  • Special Permits: Travel to certain regions in India, such as Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland and Lakshadweep, requires an Inner Line Permit (ILP) or other approvals.

Health and Medical Assistance

  • Air India provides guidelines for passengers with specific medical needs:
  • Expectant Mothers: Travel is permitted up to the 32nd week of pregnancy without complications. Beyond this, a medical certificate is required. Travel after the 35th week is not permitted.
